FIS World Cup Ruka Nordic gathers athletes, media and winter sports fans to see the amazing sceneries and exciting competitions at Ruka, Finland. The competitions seen at Ruka are full of glorious moments from Friday to Sunday, and from dawn to dusk. These three days show us the best of three sports: Ski Jumping, Cross Country and Nordic Combined.

Enjoy the athmosphere of Competition Market

The Event Square is Full of Atmosphere!

Just inside the main gates of the stadium area, visitors will find this year’s renewed Event Square along with upgraded restroom facilities.

At the square, you can enjoy traditional Kuusamo delicacies and other local products, such as unique jewelry. It’s also the perfect place to pick up soft wool socks or authentic, warming Icelandic sweaters – great Christmas gifts to take home.

You’ll also meet Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, and our cheerful mascots at the square, and you can take memorable photos with them.

Products for Sale in the Event Area

In the event area, you can purchase the popular and warm Ruka Nordic fan items – beanies and scarves – as well as the essential Finnish flags for cheering on the home straight.

Arrive Smoothly at the Stadium!

Arrival by Public Transportation:

We recommend arriving at the event by SkiBus, which runs between Kuusamo and Ruka during the competition weekend.

Parking:

Parking areas are located along Talvijärventie, which leads to the competition area, as well as in the yard of Ruka School. Please follow the instructions of the traffic controllers. Crossing Talvijärvi is prohibited due to weak ice conditions.

Heated parking spaces are available in the paid parking garage in Ruka Village. Free public parking is not available in Ruka Village.

Ticket Sales and Wristband Exchange Points: 

There are two ticket sales points at the event, one in Ruka Village and the other along Hiihtostadionintie next to Hotel Rukatonttu. At the ticket sales points, you will receive a wristband. If you have purchased a ticket in advance, you will be given a wristband in exchange for your advance ticket or Lippu.fi receipt.

Prohibited Items in the Area:

Alcohol is not allowed to be brought into the area. There are several licensed beverage points within the area. You are also not allowed to bring sharp objects, fireworks, or other materials that could pose a safety risk. Please be prepared for a bag check. The area is under camera surveillance.

Toilets:

There are heated toilet facilities behind the stadium building in the competition area. Portable toilets are located near Restaurant Karhunkierros. The area also has accessible toilets.

First Aid:

The public first aid point is located in the center of the competition area next to Restaurant Karhunkierros. All restaurants have first aid kits. There are two on-call doctors in the area.
